Worship Collective ‘the King will come’ Visits LBC for May 1 Concert Experience
LBC Chorus and Milton Hershey School Gospel Choir Also Performing, Plus Free Community and Student Masterclass Offered April 30
LANCASTER, Pa. (April 8, 2026) – Lancaster Bible College will present a night of worship featuring the college chorus, the Milton Hershey School Gospel Choir and the featured artist – the worship collective ‘the King will come’ – at 7 p.m. May 1, 2026, Good Shepherd Chapel on LBC’s campus at 901 Eden Road, Lancaster.
Sponsored by the Melva S. McIlwaine Guest Artist Endowment Fund, the event welcomes ‘the King will come,’ a group of singers and musicians who serve the Lord through various styles of worship, best known for the viral song, “yet (don’t give up).” The multi-denominational worship collective of songwriters and creatives turns personal stories into honest and vulnerable worship to God. These testimonies of struggle, surrender, redemption and divine grace are highlighted in the collective’s debut album “conversations with God.”
Joining the worship collective at the concert will be the LBC Chorus, consisting of members of the Chamber Singers, Men’s Chorus and Women’s Chorus and led by LBC Director of Choral Activities Robert T. Gibson, as well as the Milton Hershey School Gospel Choir.
In addition to the May 1 performance, select members of the collective will lead an on-campus masterclass at 7 p.m. April 30 in Room 201 of Good Shepherd Chapel. The free class is open to all LBC students as well as community members; no signup is necessary.
Tickets for the May 1 concert ($15 plus $1.25 fee) are on sale now at lbc.edu/events.
