Wayne Pecht, Neil Slenker honored among central PA’s top legal influencers of 2025 by CPBJ
LANCASTER, Pa., April 28, 2025 — The Central Penn Business Journal has named two Saxton & Stump attorneys, Wayne M. Pecht and Neil A. Slenker, to its 2025 Power List for Law. The annual list honors legal professionals who shape communities and influence quality of life through their leadership and contributions to the legal profession.
Pecht is co-chair of the firm’s Trusts and Estates Group and also serves as a member of the Business and Corporate, Tax and Tax Controversy, and Senior Care groups. He joined the firm in 2024.
Slenker is a member of the Business and Corporate and Real Estate groups. He became part of Saxton & Stump earlier this month following the firm’s expansion into York County through the addition of attorneys and professionals from the former York County law firm Stock & Leader.
“It’s great to see Wayne and Neil recognized for their outstanding contributions to the legal profession and the communities they serve,” Saxton & Stump CEO James W. Saxton said. “Their inclusion on this list reflects their exceptional individual accomplishments and exemplifies the values we strive to uphold as a firm.”
CPBJ named Pecht to its 2024 Power List for Banking, Finance, Accounting, and Wealth Management before moving him to this year's Power List for Law. Recognized by Best Lawyers in America® every year since 2008 for Trusts and Estates and Corporate Law, he was also named “Lawyer of the Year” in Business Law in 2022.
He earned his LL.M. in taxation at Georgetown University Law Center, his J.D. from the Dickinson School of Law, and his undergraduate degree from Penn State University. A longtime leader in the community, Pecht served on the board of supervisors for Silver Spring Township in Cumberland County from 1994 to 2005, including time as the board chairman from 1998 to 2005.
This is Slenker’s second consecutive appearance on the CPBJ Power List for Law. Before joining Saxton & Stump, he chaired the Business Group at Stock & Leader.
He is active in the York community, serving on the WellSpan Central Region Board and previously as its chair. He held leadership roles with several nonprofit organizations, including the United Way of York County, the York County Economic Alliance, and Keep York Beautiful. Slenker earned his J.D. from Penn State Dickinson Law and a B.A. from Johns Hopkins University.
