Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology and Burnham Holdings are celebrating a new milestone in their nearly 20-year partnership to strengthen Pennsylvania’s manufacturing and HVAC workforce. Burnham Holdings and its subsidiary, U.S. Boiler Company, recently donated and installed state-of-the-art condensing boilers and components at the Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration (HVACR) classroom lab space at Thaddeus Stevens College. The space is known as the Burnham Holdings Center for HVAC Technology, in the Greiner Advanced Manufacturing Center. The partnership, anchored by ongoing investments in equipment, expertise, and student opportunities, connects education and industry to meet growing regional demand for highly skilled technicians. Burnham and its subsidiaries have hired several graduates of Thaddeus Stevens College from various academic programs. HVACR is the largest academic program at the college, with three simultaneous cohorts and a waiting list of applicants. Together, the two organizations are building the next generation of talent driving Pennsylvania’s economy, keeping our spaces at the right temperature at the right time.
