LANCASTER, Pa. (Feb. 9, 2024) – A unique and inspiring event will illuminate an entire book of the Bible as it is performed dramatically word-for-word during the Lenten season.
Piercing Word will present “The Gospel of Mark” from the ESV translation of the Bible at 7:30 p.m. March 1 and 2 p.m. March 2 at The Trust Performing Arts Center’s Black Box Theatre, 37 N. Market St., Lancaster.
“The Gospel of Mark” comes to life in this one-man, dramatic performance by Aaron House, founder of Piercing Word, as creative storytelling takes audience members on a journey to the places Jesus traveled, meeting those He called to follow Him along the way. Tickets are available at lancastertrust.com/events or lbc.edu/events.
A Lancaster-based ministry, Piercing Word is known for quality theatrical productions that bring God’s Word to life on the stage by using Scripture as the script. Piercing Word’s mission is to ignite passion for the Word of God in the heart of the Church through dramatic and musical productions.

The Trust Performing Arts Center is an architecturally stunning venue for music, theatre, dance, lectures and community events in the heart of Lancaster’s downtown arts district. In 1912, the Lancaster Trust Company completed construction on its new headquarters—a Beaux-Arts masterpiece from the imagination of Lancaster’s leading architect, C. Emlen Urban. A century later, Mr. Urban’s architectural treasure has been re-imagined by Lancaster Bible College as The Trust Performing Arts Center. The Trust has a mission to honor God by encouraging excellence in the work of student and professional artists and by enriching the community through inspiring, challenging and redemptive experiences.
