Peeples Racks Up Milestone Win
Lancaster manager Ross Peeples has reached another milestone.
With Tuesday night’s 7-4 win over the Hagerstown Flying Boxcars, the skipper won for the 600th time at the helm of the Stormers over his nine seasons. He becomes the sixth manager in league history to reach that level.
Over Peeples’ tenure, the Stormers have won two Atlantic League championships, have advanced to the playoffs five times and have had seven seasons at or above the .500 mark. His clubs have won 70 or more games five different times, with the possibility remaining of a sixth season in 2026.
During his time in the manager’s office, Peeples has overseen three players head to the Major Leagues for the first time in Huascar Brazoban, Connor Overton and Cam Booser.
Over the course of the 2026 season, he has passed legendary Atlantic League managers Stan Cliburn, Kevin Baez and Willie Upshaw in the win column. Southern Maryland’s Brett Jodie has also surpassed 600 wins this season and currently ranks fifth all-time.
Former York and Hagerstown manager Mark Mason is fourth with 648, and long-time Camden skipper Wayne Krenchicki is third with 704.
Butch Hobson, Peeples’ predecessor in Lancaster is the all-time leader at 1,102. Hobson also managed Nashua and Southern Maryland before joining the Stormers in 2011.
Peeples also spent 10 years as a pitcher for the Stormers, appearing in 374 games, the franchise record. He won 31 times and threw the first complete game shutout in team history against Newark in August, 2005. That was followed by two years as the bench coach before beginning his managerial duties in 2017.
