LANCASTER, Pa. (Feb. 23, 2026) – Acclaimed trio New Jazz Underground will perform at 7 p.m. Saturday, March 14, 2026, at The Trust Performing Arts Center, 37 N. Market St., in downtown Lancaster.

New Jazz Underground has been described as “an innovative and ultra creative collective striving to establish themselves as a defining voice for the genre of jazz and beyond.” The American trio’s music merges traditional sensibilities of jazz with the modern influence of swing, hip-hop and Afro-Cuban music. Millions of listeners were introduced to the trio’s fresh sound through viral videos of their living room performances.

Tickets are on sale now at lbc.edu/events or lancastertrust.com.

Saxophonist and composer Abdias Armenteros, bassist and composer Sebastian Rios and drummer TJ Reddick have been lauded as some of jazz’s most promising young artists. After meeting as students at The Juilliard School, the trio played in the parks of New York City during lockdown in 2020, then began posting to their YouTube channel, now with 115,000 subscribers.

The 2023 DCJazzPrix™ winner, New Jazz Underground members have performed with the Lincoln Center Orchestra, Jon Batiste, Sullivan Fortner and Emmet Cohen, as well as on NPR Music. The trio also boasts composition and production skills across a variety of mediums.

Creating a new standard for jazz presentation, New Jazz Underground has blazed a path for young musicians in the modern music landscape. The trio also has a keen interest in helping students develop a deeper understanding of jazz music and the elements surrounding the creative process. Armenteros, Rios and Reddick each have their own student studios as well as years of experience teaching students from middle school through college in topics such as jazz history, theory and application.

In 1912, the Lancaster Trust Company finished its new headquarters—a Beaux Arts masterpiece from the imagination of Lancaster’s leading architect, C. Emlen Urban. A century later, Lancaster Bible College reimagined it into The Trust Performing Arts Center—a stunning venue for arts and culture in the heart of Lancaster. The Trust has a mission to honor God by encouraging excellence in the work of student and professional artists and by enriching the community through inspiring, challenging and redemptive experiences.

Founded in 1933, Lancaster Bible College provides an accredited university-level education for multiple careers with a focus on the Bible and a biblical worldview, Christ and Christian character. LBC’s mission is to educate Christian students to think and live a biblical worldview and to proclaim Christ by serving Him in the Church and society. In 2025, LBC introduced its new tagline, “Experience Different,” which highlights the college’s four key differentiators – biblical integration, authentic community, relational education and exceptional location.

Accredited through the Middle States Commission on Higher Education and the Association for Biblical Higher Education Commission on Accreditation, LBC is also approved by the Pennsylvania Department of Education and the Association of Christian Schools International. Specialized accreditations are also in the areas of: Social Work (Council on Social Work Education), Music, Worship & Performing Arts (National Association of Schools of Music) and Sport Management (Commission on Sport Management Accreditation).
