National Touring Production of ‘A Dickens Tale’ Set for The Trust Performing Arts Center Dec. 12
LANCASTER, Pa. (Nov. 20, 2025) – Bright Star Touring Theatre, a national professional touring theatre company based in Asheville, N.C., is visiting Lancaster with the acclaimed production of “A Dickens Tale,” based on the Charles Dickens classic, “A Christmas Carol.”
Set for 7 p.m. Dec. 12 at The Trust Performing Arts Center’s Black Box Theatre, 37 N. Market St., in downtown Lancaster, tickets are on sale now at lbc.edu/events or lancastertrust.com.
“A Dickens Tale” is a 45-minute, fast-paced version of the literary classic, introducing audiences to the mean, old Ebenezer Scrooge. Content in a life of misery, Scrooge is visited upon by a variety of entertaining and insightful ghosts who encourage him to change. The show features all the classic characters, from old Scrooge, bumbling Cratchit, Jacob Marley, the three ghostly visitors, a hilarious beggar woman and more — all played by just two professional actors.
Seen by audiences across America, “A Dickens Tale” is best appreciated by audiences of first grade through adult.
