'Music on the Lawn' Returns at LancasterHistory for Third Summer Season
Outdoor concerts featuring local bands to take the stage in James Buchanan's backyard from July-September
LANCASTER, PA — LancasterHistory is excited to announce the return of Music on the Lawn this summer, featuring a lineup of fantastic local bands performing in the scenic backyard of James Buchanan’s historic home, Wheatland. This family and dog-friendly event invites attendees to relax and enjoy an evening outdoors with live music.
On July 20, Music on the Lawn kicks off the concert series with Featherburn, a self-described "accordion-powered romp-rock for adventurers" that weaves folk, punk, groove, and rhapsody music with theatrical playfulness.
Band Vinegar Creek Constituency joins LancasterHistory on August 31 for an uplifting, high-energy concert with music drawing in elements of bluegrass, early swing, outlaw country, and ragtime.
Music on the Lawn concludes on September 14 with Woodson Steel Experience, which will immerse listeners in the sounds of steelpan Caribbean music and percussion.
Each concert takes place from 5-7pm at LancasterHistory, 230 N. President Avenue in Lancaster, on their respective concert days.
