'Music on the Lawn' Returns at LancasterHistory for Fourth Summer Season

Team Member Recognition

LANCASTER, PA — LancasterHistory's Music on the Lawn series is back this summer, featuring a lineup of fantastic local bands performing in the scenic backyard of James Buchanan’s historic home, Wheatland. This family and dog-friendly event invites attendees to relax and enjoy an evening outdoors with live music.

On July 12, Music on the Lawn kicks off the concert series with Trouble with Annie, a seasoned band of five musicians playing the best of country music from the '90s through the 2000s.

The Jordan Rast Trio joins LancasterHistory on August 23 for a folksy evening, playing bluegrass, country, and Americana music.

Music on the Lawn concludes on September 13 with a two band special! The Vulcans, an award-winning three-piece Americana/folk-rock band from Mechanicsburg, PA will open the September concert, followed by headliner Denison Witmer. Witmer is a Lancaster-based singer-songwriter with multiple records to his name. His style is often described as "neo-folk" with similarities reminiscent of 70s singer-songwriters Cat Stevens and Nick Drake.

Each concert takes place from 5-7pm at LancasterHistory, 230 N. President Avenue in Lancaster, on their respective concert days. Tickets for each concert may be purchased in advance online or by calling (717) 392-4633 or at the door with cash or card. Tickets are $10 per Adults 18 years of age or older and free for Children 17 and under. LancasterHistory Members are free.

Concertgoers are encouraged to bring blankets, foldable chairs, and picnics. Well-behaved, leashed dogs are also welcome. Restrooms are available onsite. If guests require any special accommodations to attend, please contact Annie Weeks, Development & Events Manager, in advance at (717) 392-4633, ext. 134, or email annie.weeks@lancasterhistory.org.

LancasterHistory would like to thank 2025 Music on the Lawn series sponsors Mosaic by Willow Valley Communities, Ville Painters, EHD Insurance, and Yurchak Printing!
