Lancaster International Piano Festival Series Continues with Pianist, Artist and Poet Asiya Korepanova

LANCASTER, Pa. (Oct. 11, 2024) – Pianistic powerhouse, recognized composer, visual artist and poet Asiya Korepanova will continue the 2024-25 Arts & Culture season at The Trust Performing Arts Center with the second concert in this year’s Lancaster International Piano Festival series.

Performing at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 2 in The Trust’s Great Hall, 37 N. Market St. in Lancaster, Korepanova is well-known for her emotionally charged and colorfully nuanced performances that have enchanted audiences and led to many repeat engagements. She is praised by the Boston Musical Intelligencer as sweeping audiences away to “a place of magic and mystery.” Korepanova has gained national attention with features on CNN and NPR and also performed at Carnegie Hall.

Tickets are available now at lancastertrust.com or lbc.edu/events.

Korepanova began learning piano from her mother at the age of 4, started composing at age 6 and made her orchestra debut at age 9. Not only is she known for a repertoire encompassing over 60 piano concertos and solo works, as well as transcriptions of Strauss, Rachmanioff, Tchaikovsky and more, but she is also recognized for exquisite multimedia projects that include art and poetry.

Two additional Lancaster International Piano Festival performances this season are planned for The Trust in 2025: young, award-winning pianist Congyu Wang on March 22 and renowned pianist Dr. Xun Pan with members of the Lancaster Symphony Orchestra on April 26.
