Lancaster, PA –On Friday, October 25th, the Lancaster Chamber is excited to unveil a new mural located in the Truist Business Center on the 2nd floor of 115 East King Street. Funded by the Lancaster County Community Foundation’s Next 100 Year Board grant and created by local artists Jason and Katherine Horst of Horst Arts Center, the mural reflects the growth, diversity, and innovation that makes Lancaster a vibrant place to live and work.

In early 2024, as part of the Lancaster County Community Foundation’s 100th-anniversary celebration, the Lancaster Chamber, along with several local chambers of commerce and business organizations, were awarded the Next 100 Year Boost Award, with grants of up to $5,000 each. These grants are designed to spark future-focused strategies and initiatives in communities across the county.

"The 100th anniversary of the Community Foundation provides an opportunity to highlight the forward-looking energy that fuels our community," said the Lancaster County Community Foundation. "These grants invite fresh ideas, encourage innovation, and set Lancaster on a course for the next 100 years. We’re excited to partner with the Lancaster Chamber and 115 East King Street in shaping our shared future."

Jason and Katherine Horst of Horst Arts Center shared, “We are very grateful to collaborate with the Lancaster Chamber on this project. It’s been a privilege to create a piece that celebrates the diverse and vibrant spirit of Lancaster County, and we hope this mural inspires everyone who sees it.”

In alignment with our commitment to fostering an inclusive and inspiring environment, the Lancaster Chamber sought to leverage the Next 100 Year Boost Award to enhance the Truist Business Center on the 2nd floor of the Chamber’s office, serving as a visually stunning backdrop for group photos and a testament to the creative vitality and spirit of Lancaster County. Its design reflects both the deep historical roots of the region and the visionary future ahead. From preserved farmland and diverse cityscapes to the majestic river lands and charming main streets, Lancaster’s businesses and people are ready to thrive.

Heather Valudes, President & CEO of the Lancaster Chamber, states, "We are incredibly grateful to the Lancaster County Community Foundation for their generous grant, which made this vibrant mural possible. A special thanks to Jason and Katherine Horst of Horst Arts for capturing the essence of Lancaster’s diversity, growth, and future in such a unique and powerful way. This mural reflects the spirit of collaboration and innovation that drives both our Chamber and our community forward."
