Lancaster Bible College to Host Annual Total Percussion Seminar June 16-20

LANCASTER, Pa. (May 14, 2026) – Lancaster Bible College will host its annual weeklong intensive Total Percussion Seminar in June.

Beginning Tuesday, June 16, and running through Saturday, June 20, the seminar begins each day at 9 a.m. and concludes at 3 p.m. in Good Shepherd Chapel on the college’s Lancaster campus at 901 Eden Road.

This event is ideal for middle school, high school and college percussionists. Adult percussionists are also welcome to register and participate. The five-day event will end with a showcase performance open to the public at 2 p.m. June 20. Throughout the week, students will participate in clinics, master classes and percussion ensembles as they experience hands-on learning on drumline techniques, drum set, mallet studies, concert techniques, world and hand drumming, music technology and district audition preparation.

Guest artists and clinicians featured at the seminar include the following; all have extensive backgrounds in percussion and are excited to share their knowledge and skills with student participants:

  • Brent Behrenshausen is director of the Lancaster Bible College Total Percussion Seminar and LBC Music, Worship & Performing Arts Adjunct Professor.
  • Daniel Mark is a Total Percussion Seminar Mallet Percussion Specialist and Percussion Director of the Kutztown University Marching Band.
  • Adam Stec is the owner of Drums Etc. / The Drummer’s Pro Shop and has been a professional in the music industry for over a decade.
  • Ralph Sorrentino teaches applied percussion and directs the Percussion Ensemble at West Chester University. He is the Principal Percussionist with Opera Philadelphia and Section Percussionist with the Pennsylvania Ballet Orchestra. Ralph is also a founding member of Electrum Duo.
  • Rob Robinson is an artist with Ludwig Marching Percussion and an adjudicator for U.S. Bands. Inducted into the World Drum Corps Hall of Fame, he lives in South Florida as a private teacher, clinician and composer.
  • David Nelson is a freelance percussionist and timpanist based in the Philadelphia area and Principal Timpanist of the Philly Pops and the Lancaster Symphony. He performs regularly with the Philadelphia Orchestra, serves on the faculty at West Chester University of Pennsylvania, and is a graduate of Temple University.
  • Gabriel Staznik is a freelance percussionist, educator and arranger residing in the Washington, D.C., area. He is the drummer in Max Impact and serves as the Section Chief of Unit Operations for the United States Air Force Band.

Percussion Camp sponsors for 2026 include VicFirth, Zildjian, Ludwig and Drums Etc. Registration and payment are due by June 13 at lbc.edu/percussion.
