2,300+ Students Enrolled Across All Locations and Modalities
LANCASTER, Pa. (Oct. 3, 2024) – For the second fall in a row, Lancaster Bible College is celebrating the largest enrollment in its history to start the new academic year.
“Every one of our students—whether in Lancaster, Philadelphia, Washington, D.C., Uganda, Brazil or online—has a story of why they chose LBC, one that is part of the greater story of how God is preparing them for the good work He’s called them to do,” said Lancaster Bible College President Dr. Tommy Kiedis. “When a growing number of students choose LBC as the next chapter in their story, our promise to them is this: ‘We prepare students to flourish in college and life, inside and outside the classroom, from the conviction that Christ is real and the Bible is true.’ That means we want our students to see how God’s grand, redemptive story frames every other story, and we can’t wait to see what He does in our students’ lives—both while they are at LBC and long after graduation.”
Again this fall, LBC is experiencing a record-breaking total enrollment of over 2,300 students who are furthering their education on campus in Lancaster, online or in a hybrid setting, as they work toward certificates, associate, bachelors, masters or doctoral degrees. Also reflected in the total number of students are those enrolled in non-degree programs, as well as in LBC’s high school dual enrollment program called JumpStart.
A separate enrollment record was broken within the incoming fall 2024 on-campus undergraduate class; 286 of these students began classes on Aug. 26 at 901 Eden Road, with full-capacity dormitories. Hailing from 23 states and six countries outside the U.S., 46% are student-athletes playing on 18 NCAA Division III Charger sports teams. Among these students, the top three majors are Business Administration, Early Childhood Education and Psychology. They illustrate the bonds within the LBC family, as 27 new students have a sibling who is a current LBC student and 13 have an LBC alumnus parent. The new class is part of the total on-campus undergraduate population of 775 students.
Additionally, online education saw its largest enrollment in LBC history as well, with 861 students studying fully online at the associate, bachelors, masters and doctoral levels. Another 516 students are enrolled in hybrid courses, with both online and in-class learning opportunities at various levels of education in Lancaster, Philadelphia and Washington, D.C., for a total of nearly 1,400 online and hybrid students enrolled this fall.
Now in its 91st year of “educating Christian students to think and live a biblical worldview and to proclaim Christ by serving Him in the Church and society,” LBC was named the No. 1 Online Bible College in America for two consecutive years by both BestColleges.com and Intelligent.com.
