Investment Real Estate Group of Companies Announces Self Storage Association Foundation 2024 Scholarship Winners

YORK, Pa. (June 19, 2024) — The Investment Real Estate Group of Companies (IREGC) today announced two students with ties to the company have been awarded scholarships from the Self Storage Association Foundation (SSAF). Corinne Steinis-Maffei and Makayla Knepshield were each awarded $5,000 for their academic efforts.

Learn more about the winners who are affiliated with IREGC:

• Corinne Steinis-Maffei is a student at Central Connecticut State University, where she majors in accounting. Her husband, Phillip Maffei, is a senior property manager with Moove In Self Storage in Connecticut. 
• Makayla Knepshield is a student at the University of Massachusetts, where she is studying to become a Veterinary Technician. Makayla will be a junior in the fall. Her father, Kurt Knepshield, is a district manager with Moove In Self Storage for the New England states.

The SSAF Scholarship program has awarded over $1 million to students affiliated with the self storage industry. Donors to the scholarship program include National Storage Affiliates and the Gilliland Family Foundation.

“This scholarship program is the perfect opportunity for us to give back to the community who day in and day out help to seamlessly operate a $1 billion portfolio,” Gilliland said.
