Horst Acquires Ruhl Insurance  

Lancaster, PA (March 12, 2024) Effective March 1, Horst Insurance, an independent insurance broker serving southcentral and southeastern Pennsylvania for more than 100 years, has acquired Ruhl Insurance, an 80-year-old insurance brokerage firm based in Manheim, PA.

Formed by Jacob H. Ruhl in 1943, Ruhl Insurance grew to manage the insurance needs of more than 1,800 personal, commercial, farm, and agri-business clients. Nevin Dourte served as the President until his unexpected death in August of 2023.
