Friends of the Tanger Arboretum to Host Wine & Cheese Event September 5

LANCASTER, PA The Friends of the Tanger Arboretum, a subsidiary of LancasterHistory, will host an evening program, Wine & Cheese and a Walk in the Trees, on Friday, September 5 from 5-7pm at LancasterHistory. The late-summer social will feature refreshing drinks and light bites, plus the option to tour the Tanger Arboretum with other members and learn more about the stately trees and gardens on the grounds. There will also be a "State of the Arboretum" address to provide updates and share recent projects in the Arboretum, and an election of new Board Members for 2025-2026.

Wine & Cheese and a Walk in the Trees is free for Friends of the Tanger Arboretum members. Tickets for non-members are $25/Adult (18+). Ticket purchase includes access to the event, program, beverages, and appetizers. Must be 21 years or older to consume alcoholic beverages. Non-alcoholic options will be available.

The event will take place at the Carriage House at LancasterHistory, 230 North President Avenue, Lancaster on Friday, September 5 from 5-7pm. The event is rain or shine.

About The Tanger Arboretum & The Friends of the Tanger Arboretum
The Louise Arnold Tanger Arboretum (pronounced “tan’-jer”) is an 11-acre arboretum featuring a multitude of plant specimens and garden features on the grounds of LancasterHistory and President James Buchanan’s Wheatland in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. The Tanger Arboretum includes over 100 species of trees from all over the world and includes two Pennsylvania State Champion trees, native plant pollinator gardens, and an American Conifer Society Reference Garden. The Tanger Arboretum is cared for and conserved by the Friends of the Tanger Arboretum, a subsidiary of LancasterHistory. The Friends of the Tanger Arboretum helps foster public interest in, and support for, the maintenance and development of the Louise Arnold Tanger Arboretum as a community asset.
