Eric Fung Joins Lancaster Symphony Orchestra Musicians to Close Out Piano Festival Series on April 25

LANCASTER, Pa. (March 31, 2026) – The 2025-26 Lancaster International Piano Festival concert series concludes at The Trust Performing Arts Center, 37 N. Market St. in downtown Lancaster, at 7:30 p.m. April 25.

Closing the season will be pianist Dr. Eric Fung with three members of the Lancaster Symphony Orchestra — Dana Allaband on violin, Ken Bell on French horn and Luis Engelke on trumpet. Tickets are on sale now at lbc.edu/events or lancastertrust.com.

Dr. Eric Fung is the Carmean Endowed Professor of Music at Lebanon Valley College. Born in Hong Kong, the Steinway Artist began his training at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts and holds degrees from the Eastman School of Music and The Juilliard School. A collaborator with numerous orchestras around the globe, Fung has been featured at international music festivals and, as an educator, has conducted masterclasses and lectures at numerous institutions and professional organizations. He has received accolades from eminent music critics.

A Minersville, Pa., native, Dana Allaband earned degrees from West Chester University and the University of Maryland. She has concertized in Venezuela, Romania, Cameroon, Carnegie Hall and at universities across the country. The LSO Principal Second Violinist for over a decade, Allaband has served as concertmaster and performed with many symphonies, orchestras, chamber groups and quartets – and in various genres, from rock to tango. Allaband has taught at Millersville University and Albright College, where she is Assistant Director of Sunday Sinfonia.

Kenneth Bell, a native of Buffalo, N.Y., has degrees from the Eastman School of Music and the Catholic University of America. He is the LSO and Baltimore Chamber Orchestra Principal Horn. For 24 years, Bell played and recorded with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra and was also a member of two premier military bands. He toured the U.S. and Europe as Principal Horn with several Broadway shows, including “CATS,” “The Music of Andrew Lloyd Weber” and “West Side Story.” For the 2025-26 season, the retired Professor of Horn at Gettysburg College is the hornist in “Wicked” at Baltimore’s Hippodrome Theatre.

Luis Engelke is Professor of Trumpet at Towson University and Principal Trumpet with the Lancaster, Kennett and Mid-Atlantic Symphony Orchestras, Baltimore Chamber Orchestra and Shippensburg Music Festival. The International Trumpet Guild Journal’s Music Reviews Editor performs over 100 engagements annually, and his albums have received Global Music Awards. A Brazil native and a Yamaha Performing Artist/Clinician, his own music has been performed internationally. Engelke has performed with 50-plus professional orchestras and with diverse musicians such as Andrea Bocelli, Celtic Woman, the Moody Blues and Manheim Steamroller. The educator has presented lectures and masterclasses around the world.

The Lancaster International Piano Festival returned to The Trust for the 2025-26 season, featuring four concerts with internationally renowned musicians. Violinist Peter Winograd and pianist Dr. Xun Pan kicked off the series on Sept. 13, followed by young piano sensation Miao Gao on Nov. 7 and Trio Chimera, named the Best Italian Ensemble of 2022, on March 20.
