Lancaster, PA – April 25, 2025 — Dutch Apple Dinner Theatre has earned national recognition, placing #3 in USA Today’s 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards for Best Dinner Theater in the country.

Selected by public vote, the list features the top 10 dinner theaters across the United States, showcasing venues that offer exceptional dining experiences paired with high-quality live entertainment. Dutch Apple stood out among 20 nominated theaters. 

“We’re thrilled and honored to be recognized among the best in the nation,” said William Prather, Chief Executive Producer of Prather Productions, who owns and operates Dutch Apple, along with his brother David. “This award reflects the incredible talent of our cast and crew, the dedication of our staff to go above and beyond, and the loyal support of our community and audiences from across the country.”

Dutch Apple Dinner Theatre, located on Centerville Road in Lancaster, has been entertaining audiences for over 35 years with Broadway productions and delicious buffet-style meals. It continues to be a staple of Lancaster County’s vibrant arts scene and a beloved destination for visitors.

Also recognized in the same contest was Broadway Palm Dinner Theatre in Fort Myers, Florida — Dutch Apple’s sister theater — which earned the #10 spot. Both venues are part of the Prather Productions family, Apex Touring, their touring company is the third entity under the Prather umbrella.

“We’re incredibly proud that both of our theaters were voted into the top ten,” Prather added. “It’s a testament to the consistent quality and passion our teams bring to every performance.”

The current mainstage show at Dutch Apple is Fiddler on the Roof now through May 17. Then the stage will rock with The Queen Musical We Will Rock You from May 23 through June 21.

Broadway Palm Dinner Theatre – Fort Myers, FL 

Broadway Palm is now celebrating its 31st Season. The theatre entertains over 170,000 guests annually. The facility includes a 450-seat dinner theatre, a 100-seat “black-box” theatre called The Off-Broadway Palm Theatre, a 120-seat dining room called Café Cabaret and a 30-seat space just off the main lobby called, The Art Café. The theatre can be found on Florida’s Gulf coast between Tampa and Miami.
