CPBJ names Saxton & Stump CEO, Jim Saxton to annual “Power 100” list

LANCASTER, Pa., March 19, 2024 — Saxton & Stump is proud to announce that the Central Penn Business Journal has once again named Saxton & Stump CEO James W. Saxton to its “Power 100” list, a showcasing of central Pennsylvania’s most influential people in the region’s business community. The list covers not just law firms, but business leaders, educators, public servants, and those who shape the community. It includes high-ranking politicians, CEOs, C-suite executives, and entrepreneurs.

CPBJ has named Jim Saxton to its Power 100 list in each of its four years of existence.

“It’s been an honor the last several years to be named to this prestigious list with so many leaders and individuals who are also well deserving due to their tremendous impact,” Saxton said. “Central Pennsylvania is full of those wanting to truly make a difference and be part of the solution to better our communities, and I’m so proud to be named along with these other individuals.”

Saxton has been the CEO since he co-founded Saxton & Stump in 2015 and has led the strategic growth of the full-service firm which has more than 110 attorneys, 200 total professionals, seven locations, more than 40 practice groups, and seven affiliate companies. He continues to work with the firm’s leadership team to provide a strategic vision for growth. The Legal Intelligencer has named Saxton & Stump one of the fastest-growing firms in Pennsylvania for the last three years. CPBJ has also named Saxton to its “Power 30” law and lobbyists list from 2021 to 2023, and Best Lawyers has named him to the “Best Lawyers in America” list each year since 2016.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Saxton has been dedicated to growing the community. He has been a founding board member of the Lancaster Community Health Plan, chairman of the Lancaster YMCA Foundation, president of the YMCA Board of Directors, and a past board member of the American Heart Association. In 2014, Saxton was the recipient of the Excellence in Philanthropy Award from the Lancaster General Health Foundation Board of Trustees, and the Central Pennsylvania Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals named him “Philanthropist of the Year” in 2013.
