CPBJ names attorney Sarah Moreland to annual “Women of Influence” list
HARRISBURG, Pa., May 9, 2024 — Saxton & Stump is proud to announce that the Central Penn Business Journal has named attorney Sarah P. Moreland to its 2024 Women of Influence list. The list strives to honor high-achieving women for their tremendous career accomplishments, and those selected are based on professional experience, community involvement and a commitment to mentoring. This is the third time a Saxton & Stump attorney has been named to this list, with Moreland joining attorneys Kathy Duffy Bruder (2023) and Katherine Pandelidis Granbois (2019).
Moreland is a member of the firm’s Regulatory and Government Affairs Group as a practicing attorney and lobbyist, serving as a trusted advisor to clients on a myriad of public policy issues, assisting with advocacy, analysis, research and other government relations matters involvingfederal, state and local regulatory bodies and rules.
“Sarah is a leader and an immensely important member of our government relations practice group. She is respected by business and political leaders from all four caucuses and the administration” Saxton & Stump Chair of Regulatory and Government Affairs Kathy Duffy Bruder said. “Her knowledge of state and local government and how to navigate the legislative and executive branches helps our clients succeed, and her connections throughout the Capitol make her influential and an asset to our Firm. Our firm already knew Sarah as a woman of influence, and it’s wonderful that the Central Penn Business Journal chose to recognize her the way we do.”
Moreland is also part of the firm’s Environmental, Workplace Safety and Utilities and Death Care groups. Before arriving at Saxton & Stump, she served in a variety of advisory roles with the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, where she began her career in state government in 2017, most recently serving as legal counsel and senior analyst for the Finance Committee.
In 2023 while with Saxton & Stump, City & State PA named Moreland to its annual “Forty Under 40” list. She is a graduate of Widener University Commonwealth Law School and received her undergraduate degree at Shippensburg University.
The Women of Influence honorees will be recognized June 27 at a celebration at the Sheraton Harrisburg Hershey Hotel in Harrisburg.
