COMMUNITY RAISES RECORD-BREAKING $532,354 AT SCHREIBER’S 90TH ANNIVERSARY GALA

LANCASTER, PA (April 21, 2026) – The Schreiber Center for Pediatric Development marked a historic milestone on March 28, raising a record-breaking $532,354 at its 90th Anniversary Diamond Gala to support children of all abilities across central Pennsylvania.

Held at the DoubleTree Resort by Hilton Lancaster, the evening brought together families, supporters, and community leaders and will fund thousands of hours of therapy for children of all abilities across central Pennsylvania.

For nearly a century, the Schreiber Center has been a steady presence for families navigating uncertainty in the face of unexpected challenges, offering therapy, education, and support that help children build confidence, gain independence, and open the door to possibility. This year’s gala reflected the collective commitment behind that work and the belief in every child’s potential.

The introduction of the 2026 Schreiber Ambassadors offered a first look at the children and families whose journeys will be shared throughout the coming year; stories that show what’s possible with consistency and support.

“Knowing Tristin’s story can help inspire other children is incredibly meaningful to us,” said Rebecca Mohr, whose son was introduced as a 2026 Schreiber Ambassador. “Moments like this remind us how powerful a supportive community can be.”

Through a newly premiered 90th Anniversary video, guests heard directly from Schreiber children and families, as current and former clients reflected on what Schreiber has meant in their lives. Their stories illustrated the long arc of progress and reinforced that therapy is never “just therapy,” but a foundation for communication, mobility, and independence.

One of the most powerful moments of the evening connected past and present in a single room. Attendees celebrated Lloyd Mosemann, believed to be the organization’s oldest living client, and recognized Dennis Denenberg, a former client of founder Edna Schreiber and longtime supporter, as Philanthropist of the Year. Together, these stories reflect the lasting, generational impact of Schreiber’s mission.

The record-breaking generosity shown through auction bids, raffles, and paddle raises will fund more than 7,193 hours of therapy for children across central Pennsylvania, helping ensure families can access care regardless of their financial circumstances.

But the impact of the evening extends far beyond a single night.

It will be seen this week in a child working toward a milestone that once felt out of reach. In a parent finding reassurance in a moment of uncertainty. And in the knowledge that, because of this community, that support will be there again next week and the week after that.

“Schreiber has been part of the fabric of this community for 90 years,” said James DeBord, President of the Schreiber Center. “And it’s this same community that will ensure we’re here for generations to come, continuing to show up for children and families when it matters most.”

As Schreiber looks ahead to the next 90 years, the organization invites the community to continue that legacy through ongoing support, including monthly giving, volunteering, and future events, so that children and families can continue to access the care and support they need, when they need it most.
