Local scholarships are now available as a result of new partnership between British Swim School Lancaster-York and the Hope Floats Foundation!

Hope Floats Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to drowning prevention and water safety education. Through swim lesson scholarships, community partnerships, and outreach programs, Hope Floats works to remove financial barriers and ensure children have access to life-saving swim skills—helping families build confidence and safety in and around the water.  Families apply directly to Hope Floats to obtain scholarship funding for classes with British Swim School in Lancaster or York County.

To kick off this partnership, British Swim School Lancaster-York has donated funds to provide swim lesson scholarships, available to eligible students beginning February 2026. These scholarships are designed to help remove financial barriers while teaching life-saving water safety skills.

In addition, effective immediately, $3 of our registration fee will be donated to the Fund. All funds raised locally will stay right here in Lancaster and York Counties to support families in our community and will provide more opportunities in both Lancaster and York.

Water safety saves lives — and we’re honored to work alongside Hope Floats to expand access to swim lessons where they’re needed most.
