Bird-in-Hand Stage will reopen in original location for 2025 show season
Bird-in-Hand, PA, March 27, 2025 – After a year of staging productions at a temporary site, Bird-in-Hand Stage will reopen for the 2025 show season at its original location at 2760 Old Philadelphia Pike, on the lower level of the Bird-in-Hand Family Restaurant & Smorgasbord.
The season launches on April 3 with a brand-new musical mystery, The Rise and Fall of Miss Fannie’s Biscuits, based on the book by Wanda Brunstetter and Martha Bolton. The plot revolves around Fannie Miller, who finally makes it to a baking contest just as other contestants start disappearing. On April 3 and 4, the authors will be on hand to sign copies of the book before and after the 7 p.m. show as well as during intermission. Books will be available for purchase or attendees may bring their own.
On April 12, entertainer Ryan Bomgardner will return to the Bird-in-Hand Stage with Ryan & Friends: Lifetime of Laughter, a lighthearted variety show that follows a career devoted to comedy, ventriloquism and uplifting entertainment.
“We are grateful to our guests for their support following last year’s fire, and we are thrilled to welcome them back to the original Bird-in-Hand Stage,” said John E. Smucker, II, Bird-in-Hand’s president and chief executive officer. “We are excited about this year’s line-up, which combines new shows and popular favorites, including Stolen and The Christmas Candy Caper. And once again Ryan & Friends will offer a limited-engagement Christmas show.”
Restaurant restoration continues
The Bird-in-Hand Family Restaurant & Smorgasbord was also damaged in the January 2024 fire. While restoration continues, the restaurant is only able to accommodate reserved groups and individuals who pre-purchased meal packages prior to March 1, 2025. No walk-in food service is available at this time.
“We thank our guests for their patience and understanding as we look forward to a full restaurant reopening later this spring,” Smucker said. “Our out-of-town guests will be happy to hear that the front rooms at the Family Inn, as well as the Schoolhouse Suite, are now open. The Barn Suite and Family Inn lobby will open this spring.”
Tickets for all five 2025 shows are currently available. For reservations, call (717) 768-1568 or visit the website at Bird-in-Hand.com.
