Big Brothers Big Sisters of South-Central PA Announces
Opening of Lebanon County Office
Nonprofit’s 20-year commitment to Lebanon County highlighted

by the dedication of programs and community partners.

Lebanon, PA (April 24, 2025) – Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) of South-Central PA is proud to announce the opening of a new office location in Lebanon County, a significant step forward in strengthening its presence and deepening its impact in the community. For over 20 years, BBBS of South-Central PA has been a steadfast partner to youth and families in Lebanon County, providing one-to-one mentoring relationships that empower young people to realize their full potential.

This new office space, generously provided by United Way of Lebanon County, opens doors—literally and figuratively—for greater accessibility, visibility, and connection to the youth, families, and volunteers who make up the heart of the organization’s mission.

“We are grateful to United Way of Lebanon County for their generous support and for recognizing the value of mentorship in our community,” says Amy Rote, President & CEO of BBBS of South-Central PA. “With this new location, we are more equipped than ever to serve our Littles, support our Bigs, and foster meaningful relationships that last a lifetime.”

“United Way of Lebanon County is proud to support Big Brothers Big Sisters of South-Central PA as a subtenant in our building,” says Deborah Hornick, Director of Community Development for United Way of Lebanon County. “This partnership reflects our commitment to community engagement and collaboration, and we believe that working together as community partners strengthens the fabric of our community. By creating shared spaces and opportunities for partnership, we can better serve the people of Lebanon County, together.”

BBBS of South-Central PA’s Lebanon County services include: the Community-Based program where Bigs and Littles explore community activities and shared interests together; the High School Bigs Leadership program which provides high school students with the opportunity to learn leadership skills while volunteering as mentors at nearby elementary and middle schools; and the Bigs in Blue program that matches active law enforcement officers with elementary and middle school students.

The nonprofit provides one-to-one youth mentoring programs in partnership with Lebanon YMCA, Pennsylvania State Police, Lebanon City Police Department, and 5 school districts: Annville-Cleona, Cornwall Lebanon, Lebanon, Northern Lebanon and Palmyra.

To celebrate the launch, BBBS of South-Central PA recognized Jonestown Bank & Trust for their generous Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) contribution.

“We are deeply grateful to Jonestown Bank & Trust for their ongoing dedication to our mission and commitment to making a positive impact in the lives of Lebanon County youth,” says Rote.

“JBT has proudly supported Big Brothers Big Sisters of South-Central PA for many years, and I have served as a Big to two Littles and have personally seen the benefits of professional supported relationships,” said Troy A. Peters, President & CEO of JBT. “We believe that mentoring plays a vital role in empowering young people to recognize and unlock their full potential. Beyond our financial support, we are especially proud of our employees who volunteer their time and energy to the program. Their experiences as mentors are often deeply meaningful and transformative, both for the Littles and for themselves.”

The bank’s EITC contribution supports the High School Bigs Leadership program, helping youth build leadership, confidence, and academic success. High School Bigs Leadership is the organization’s fastest growing program in Lebanon County. Over 100 youth in the county are supported annually through EITC funding.

London Seiders is a Senior at Annville-Cleona High School and has volunteered as a mentor in the High School Bigs Leadership program for the past three years.

“I love coming back every year because I get to have a new Little Sister/Brother, and I love making the new relationships!” Seiders shared. “This year, I had the pleasure of having a new Little, whose name is Zeke. He is a very energetic, 11-year-old boy, and loves everything about BBBS (just like me!). I feel that this match with Zeke has been one of my best personal connections so far, and I am so sad to be graduating from the High School BBBS program. This program has helped me open my shell, make new relationships, and learn how to help tutor children who are struggling."

With the opening of the Lebanon County office, BBBS of South-Central PA feels confident that their services will continue to grow, connecting more young people with needed mentoring services.

BBBS of South-Central PA’s office address is: 604 Cumberland Street, P.O. Box 10, Lebanon, PA 17402. Hours will be by appointment and interested families or volunteers are invited to email Katie Gleason at kgleason@bbbsscpa.org to schedule an in-person meeting or phone call.

This new chapter builds on decades of commitment to youth in Lebanon County and underscores BBBS of South-Central PA’s continued dedication to creating brighter futures—one match at a time.
