Lancaster, Pa. – Barley Snyder continues to grow and expand its group of attorneys as the firm has hired two new associates, Brandon R. Griest and Edwin León.

Both will be primarily based out of the firm’s Lancaster office.

The two new attorneys are: Brandon R. Griest: Griest joins the firm’s Litigation Practice Group with extensive experience at the state and federal trial court level as well as the appellate court level. He is dedicated to achieving the best outcome for every client, regardless of the size or complexity of the claim. He frequently represents clients in contract disputes, ownership disputes, employment disputes, construction litigation, real estate disputes, and eviction and ejectment matters.

Prior to joining Barley Snyder, Griest worked at a law firm based in Williamsport, Pennsylvania where he represented clients in various matters with a primary focus on commercial litigation. The Lancaster native is a graduate of the Dickinson School of Law, Dickinson College and Hempfield High School. Edwin León: León is a member of Barley Snyder’s Business and Creditors’ Rights practice groups. He has extensive experience handling corporate restructuring and bankruptcy litigation matters, specifically advising clients in a variety of insolvency matters including out-of-court workouts, chapter 7 and chapter 11 filings, bankruptcy sales and purchases, claims filing, and bankruptcy litigation. He is a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) which is considered the gold standard in anti-money laundering certifications. Prior to joining Barley Snyder, León worked for a boutique law firm in Wilmington, Delaware.

León earned his juris doctor degree from the Widener University Delaware Law School, his master's degree from Boston University, and his bachelor’s degree from East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania. He also has a certificate in the Economics of Blockchain & Digital Assets from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Before practicing law, León served in the U.S. Marine Corps and as a Pennsylvania State Police Trooper.
