ACT International Awards Update
SRTP Board Members & Community Partners,
As you may recall from the July SRTP Board of Directors meeting, the project staff offered a report specific to our efforts (spearheaded by Stacy Newcomer and Laura Heilman) to submit two applications to the Association for Commuter Transportation (ACT) for consideration in their international awards competition. Final results of these competitive awards were released at the International Conference in Seattle, Washington last week. You can see in the “2023 Awards Program” attachment above, the two SRTP nominations that moved on to become finalists in their respective award categories.
We are happy to convey that in addition to being recognized as finalists the Regional Bikeshare Initiative submission was selected as the overall winner in the “Commuting Options Award for Active Transportation” category! Pictures of the award and the acceptance of the award by Stacy Newcomer from our project team are attached above for your review.
These award categories are highly competitive and bring submissions from TDM organizations across the United States. As members of the SRTP you can all be very proud the TDM programs and services of which you offer guidance and governance here in south-central Pennsylvania are not only compatible, but also award winning on an international level, when comparing their merits against other TDM programming.
Congratulations on this accomplishment and we look forward to a continued relationship of bringing quality, impactful, cost-effective and collaborative TDM solutions to the commuters of Pennsylvania in the years ahead.
