WHY THE NEW DATE:
Moving the event to Saturday ensures greater attendance, more volunteer support, and improved safety—allowing families to enjoy the convoy and Mother’s Day without conflict. This change follows the recommendation of our safety committee.
DETAILS:
The 36th Annual Mother’s Day Truck Convoy will feature:
- Hundreds of independent drivers, trucking companies and small businesses from across the Susquehanna Valley and beyond, with many drivers traveling thousands of miles to participate.
- Family-friendly activities, including carnival games, entertainment, food trucks, basket raffles, and an online auction. Parking and admission are free for those attending the Family Fest.
- A chance to see the beautiful trucks up close and experience the exciting start of the convoy at 1:30 PM.
- The 26-mile convoy, which will travel through Lancaster County, with many trucks carrying wish kids along the route.
- Quiet Viewing Experience: For those who want to enjoy the convoy in a quieter setting, head to Cloverleaf Road. This stretch of road provides a peaceful experience where no trucks make noise, but spectators can still wave as the trucks and wish kids pass by.
DRIVER REGISTRATION:
Driver registration is open with over 225 trucks already registered; drivers and businesses can sign up until the day of the event. Participants are encouraged to join in this special day, helping to raise awareness and funding for local children’s wishes.
LINDA PAULING:
We’re honored to welcome Linda Pauling, Make-A-Wish co-founder and wish mom. Linda’s son Chris inspired the first wish in 1980. She will speak, meet with drivers, and ride in the convoy—bringing the story full circle.
WHY IT MATTERS:
All funds raised through the event will go directly to granting wishes for children with critical illnesses in the Susquehanna Valley. Your participation and support make a direct impact on the lives of local children and their families.
