
SG Program Advisor
Hope International is seeking a SG Program Advisor responsible for advancing and supporting the discipline of program design for HOPE’s savings group networks.

The SG program advisor is responsible for advancing and supporting the discipline of program design for HOPE’s savings group networks. HOPE International implements savings group ministries by equipping and supporting a network of partners with a holistic, church-centered savings group ministry. The SG program advisor will serve as a vital member of the savings group program team by leading our efforts of implementing a culture of intentional program design and innovation. This role supports existing programs by managing the process of refinement and validation and supports new programs with a structured design process. Additional responsibilities include supporting the savings group team with efforts to utilize Artificial Intelligence and supporting the SG Multiply team with innovation projects.

Responsibilities
- Promote and contribute to the fulfillment of HOPE International’s mission and vision.
- Savings Group Program Team Engagement
- Serve as a member of the savings group program team, providing technical leadership and support to HOPE’s network of savings group program ministry partners
- Participate in regular savings group program team meetings and planning/strategy sessions, working to support field leadership for country-specific and network-wide initiatives
- Encourage and model Biblical servant-like posture in relationships with Central Service Unit (CSU), field, and church partner staff/volunteers
- Program Design
- Project manage and support the design, execution, and analysis of in-depth research for SG program designs to guide program development and refinement
- Maintain up-to-date documentation and learning agendas for each SG program design, coordinating updates as required
- Participate in the development, improvement, and ongoing support of standard program design processes and toolkits for new and existing SG Network program designs
- Facilitate teams through processes to design and implement small scale program design changes or new design developments as needed
- Train and equip the global SG team and partner programs to successfully utilize program design processes and toolkits and grow their own program design capacity
- Support relationships between listening, monitoring, & evaluation, data analytics, and SG operations to improve data flow, feedback loops, and analysis to improve program design
- Innovation Support: Artificial Intelligence (AI)
- Lead the SG team’s exploration and enablement of AI, including identifying team needs and testing/supporting a suite of AI tools to streamline and extend the SG team’s work + impact
- Develop resources and facilitate trainings and to share about AI within the global SG team
- Collaborate with organizational-wide AI leads and partners to align with internal and external AI developments
- Stay current on developments in AI related to savings groups and team processes
- Innovation Support: SG Multiply
- Project manage and support the design and development of SG Multiply program innovations and refinements
- Establish plans for the effective testing and evaluation of new SG Multiply innovations and refinements to assess their effectiveness and impact
- Innovation Support: HOPE-led
- Support and coordinate a network of field innovation leads in conjunction with the manager of design and impact
- Facilitate trainings for staff and partners and drive engagement with innovation resources and processes within the HOPE team
- Facilitate the BUILD process for field initiatives and small-scale design changes
- Other Program and Partner Support
- Provide project management support across the SG team for initiatives related to strategy, innovation, design, and artificial intelligence
- Help facilitate Training of Trainer (ToT) events for HOPE and partner-managed savings group program ministries as needed
- Facilitate design sprints and provide other facilitation support as needed
- Assist with other SG network priorities and special projects as requested
Qualifications
- Personal confession of Christian faith and commitment to the mission and vision of HOPE International
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in economics, community development, business, or equivalent
- 2+ years of relevant professional experience; experience in cross-cultural ministry or international development preferred
- Demonstrated proficiency in program design, monitoring, and evaluation, with preference for direct experience in an international development context
- Demonstrated proficiency in project management
- Passion for and experience utilizing human-centered design principles, with familiarity of best practices
- Passion for and familiarity with artificial intelligence
- Proven leadership abilities and well-honed skills and significant experience with cross-cultural collaboration
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Detail oriented, self-starter with demonstrated ability to work independently and in collaboration with a team
- Familiarity with microfinance and savings groups strongly preferred
- Experience with training, learning design, and facilitation in a variety of contexts; familiarity with dialogue education principles and practices strongly preferred
- Fluent in spoken and written English; proficiency in other languages a plus (i.e. French)
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 50 nights a year to the countries where HOPE operates
