Manheim Area Water & Sewer Authority (MAWSA) is seeking a dependable and highly skilled Plant Supervisor to oversee the day‑to‑day operations of its water and wastewater treatment facilities. This position is hands‑on and actively engaged, providing leadership to plant staff while ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant treatment processes that support thousands of customers across the Manheim service area. In this role, the Plant Supervisor will manage all aspects of plant performance, including equipment maintenance, facility operations, and coordination across MAWSA’s water distribution and wastewater collection systems. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong team leadership and a commitment to MAWSA’s mission of delivering reliable, cost‑effective, and environmentally responsible water and wastewater services. Plant Supervisor position qualifications:

Minimum of 3–5 years of leadership or supervisory experience; required

Proficiency with technology, including Microsoft Office Suite; essential

Excellent written and verbal communication skills; essential

Possession of PA DEP operator licenses is strongly preferred but not required; strong candidates may obtain them after hire

Demonstrated community involvement; strongly preferred

Experience across diverse industry settings, including manufacturing, office, and/or service environments; a plus

4-year degree in a related field; a plus
