Child Care Provider (FT Mon - Fri)

Position Summary
Promote each child’s social, emotional, physical and cognitive development, while supporting children’s desire to be lifelong learners. Promote language development and early literacy skills, numeracy & problem solving through learning, exploration and play as formatted through our curriculum. Help students achieve more at their own pace while providing a warm, nurturing experience for children and families.

Essential Job Functions

• Ensure equipment and the facility are clean, well maintained and safe at all times
• Ensure children are always supervised
• Establish routines for children and provide positive guidance
• Provide a safe and secure environment for children to feel comfortable
• Implement positive discipline when required
• Report any suspect abuse to supervisor
• Keep parents informed of program expectations, program activities and their child’s progress
• Inspect and replace damaged or lost materials
• Maintain daily open communication with parents
• Arrange a classroom environment in accordance with program goals and philosophy
• Be familiar with emergency procedures
• Assist staff with both long and short-range activities in accordance with curriculum objectives, developmentally appropriate practice and program philosophy.
