Detwiler Roofing is seeking a Vice President of Finance to build and lead the company’s finance and accounting function, supporting continued growth and strong operational performance. The successful candidate will be a hands-on leader who combines construction accounting expertise with the ability to design and oversee systems, processes, and reporting that drive accurate financial oversight and informed decision-making. A professional of high character, the Vice President of Finance will embody Detwiler Roofing’s values while serving as a collaborative partner to operations and ownership. This role carries full controller-level responsibility, including leadership of financial reporting, general ledger integrity, monthly close, cash flow planning, and compliance, while owning WIP, job cost, and revenue recognition processes. The Vice President of Finance will also oversee the effectiveness of financial and operational IT systems, ensuring strong data integration, reporting capability, and technology alignment across the organization. A proven ability to translate financial data into actionable insight, strengthen systems, and develop high-performing teams is essential. The Vice President of Finance will work closely with company leadership to support continued growth, operational excellence, and long-term success.

Vice President of Finance position qualifications:

• Minimum of seven (7) years of progressive accounting and finance experience; significant experience in construction accounting, required
• Proven success leading and developing accounting or finance teams, with experience building scalable systems and processes
• Strong proficiency with technology, including familiarity with systems such as: Acumatica, Sage Intacct, Procore, or similar

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; essential

• Demonstrated community involvement, strongly preferred
