JOB SUMMARY
This role collaborates with Global Disciples IT staff to provide and maintain hardware and software needed to support the mission of Global Disciples.

GOALS
The job consists primarily of two roles, Helpdesk support and Systems Administration. It includes innovative and creative solution-finding to improve technology used across the organization, ensuring the technology infrastructure can support the current needs and future growth of Global Disciples.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Help Desk
In this role you will be working on user-submitted support requests.

• Assess tickets quickly to determine urgency and support requirements.
• Assign ticket to another IT staff member if they are best suited to handle the request.
• Address tickets while communicating progress or challenges in a consistent and timely fashion while resolving a ticket.
• In addition, train and educate staff on best practices, when following up on tickets.
• Setup new employees with hardware, software, accounts, and an introduction to using them.

2. System Administrator

• Administer software systems such as Microsoft 365, ManageEngine, SpiceWorks, etc.
• Purchase and administer hardware such as computers, printers and phones.
• Troubleshoot systemic issues.
• Investigate and implement new functionality.
• Review and improve security.

3. Miscellaneous Responsibilities

• Oversee network in Lancaster Office.
• Provide technical support for company events and other corporate gatherings.
• Participate in international meetings one or two times per year to provide IT support. (This would include extended, international travel in 1-2 week increments.)

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be a committed follower of Jesus Christ and an active member of a Christian church.
• Passion for the mission and work of Global Disciples and alignment with its statement of faith, goals, purposes and objectives.
• Bachelor’s degree in IT or Computer Science; OR a minimum of two years related experience.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 required.
• Additional language ability and/or international experience a plus.
• Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions and deal with several abstract and concrete variables, as well as explain technical terms in easy-to-understand language.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and use hands. The employee must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
