Oakwood Controls is seeking a General Manager to provide hands-on leadership to our collaborative, innovative, and mission-driven team. The General Manager will oversee day-to-day operations and streamline processes to improve efficiency.  In addition, the General Manager will also coordinate timelines and priorities while maintaining a strong commitment to exceptional product quality and outstanding customer service.  The General Manager will work closely with the company owner to advance strategic initiatives, support growth, and strengthen financial performance. The ideal candidate will be a team-focused leader who aligns with and reinforces Oakwood’s mission, vision, and values.


General Manager position qualifications:

  • A minimum of five (5) years of leadership experience including successfully developing people and growing an organization
  • A minimum of ten (10) years of experience in a profit-driven industry such as manufacturing, construction, or complex project environments; background in product development, military or defense, or engineering, a plus
  • Business operations and project-based budgeting experience required; business unit or corporate-level financial analysis experience preferred
  • Proven experience leading or supporting quality improvement initiatives, desired; familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies and performance metrics, preferred
  • Proficiency with technology, essential; experience with ERP, production management, or inventory management systems, a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated community involvement, strongly preferred
