Samaritan Center is looking for an Executive Director to provide visionary, ethical, and operational leadership.

Samaritan Center, a nonprofit counseling organization in the greater Lancaster region, is looking for an Executive Director to provide visionary, ethical, and operational leadership. As the chief ambassador, you’ll advance our mission, ensure clinical excellence, and foster an inclusive culture that honors diverse faith traditions, spiritual perspectives, and belief systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Champion and safeguard the organization’s mission, values, and commitment to faith-sensitive, culturally responsive care.
- Promote a culture that respects and integrates diverse spiritual, religious, and secular perspectives.
- Ensure spiritual and faith considerations are addressed with humility, respect, and client-centered boundaries within counseling services.
- Cultivate strong relationships with staff, donors, faith communities, referral partners, and the broader community.
- Steward financial sustainability and support clinical excellence.
- Lead fundraising and development strategy in partnership with staff and the Board
- Foster a healthy, inclusive, and values-driven workplace culture.
Qualifications Required
-Senior leadership experience in a nonprofit, counseling, behavioral health, healthcare, or human services organization.
-Strong financial and operational management skills, including budget oversight.
-Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and collaborate with boards and community partners.
-Excellent communication, relationship-building, and public speaking skills.
-Bachelor’s degree in counseling, social work, psychology, nonprofit management, business, public administration, or a related field required
Qualifications Preferred
-Master’s degree in counseling, social work, psychology, nonprofit management, business, public administration, or a related field.
-Experience leading or working within a faith-sensitive or spiritually integrated service environment.
-Familiarity with clinical licensure requirements, ethical standards, and regulatory compliance in behavioral health.
