Pleasant View Communities is seeking a Director of Facilities and Maintenance to provide strategic leadership for the planning, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the organization’s facilities, grounds, and infrastructure. The Director of Facilities and Maintenance will be responsible for building and leading a high-performing team, advancing preventive maintenance programs, ensuring regulatory compliance, and maximizing the reliability, and longevity of community assets. Success in this position requires the ability to balance strategic vision with hands-on leadership, driving operational excellence while delivering exceptional service to residents, team members, and stakeholders. The ideal candidate is a collaborative and dependable leader with strong technical expertise, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and a passion for developing and empowering others.
Director of Facilities and Maintenance Position Qualifications:
-Minimum of five (5) years of experience in construction, trade, maintenance, service-oriented, or related field, required
-Minimum of five (5) years of successful leadership experience, including supervising teams and developing employees
-High school diploma or equivalent, required; Completion of a trade or technical school program and/or continuing education coursework, preferred
-Demonstrated knowledge of boilers, compressors, generators, and a variety of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, required
-Ability to read and interpret blueprints, as well as working knowledge of applicable building codes and safety regulations, required
-Demonstrated involvement in and commitment to the community, strongly preferred
