This company doesn’t just secure data—they safeguard innovation at its source. This is a full time, direct hire Cost Accountant opportunity based in Lancaster County, PA. 

Essential Functions Performed by the Position

• Sets up new part numbers in company system and ensures all relevant cost data

is entered and maintained.

• Audits part numbers globally to ensure standards are being met.

• Creates and maintains bills of materials for all products, ensuring that all

components and labor costs are accurately reflected.

• Creates routings for all products, including all operations and their associated costs.

• Prepares and maintains cost estimates for new products and product changes,

working closely with the engineering and sales teams to ensure accurate data is used

• Analyzes costs and identify areas for cost reduction, working closely with

production teams to implement cost-saving measures.

• Provides cost data to support pricing decisions and make recommendations for

cost reduction.

• Participates in the budget and forecasting process, providing cost data and

analysis to support the financial plan.

• Ensures compliance with all accounting and financial reporting requirements.

Position Qualifications

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.

Experience:

• 2+ years of experience in cost accounting.

• Experience with cost accounting software and ERP systems, MAS 500 is a plus.

• Standard based costing knowledge desired.
