Cafe Manager
Bird-in-Hand Bakery & Cafe's Cafe Manager provides overall supervision and management to their café.
To provide overall supervision and management to our café. Regular manager on duty shifts which include the opening and closing of our café and retail store. Must maintain a high level of guest service and a positive staff culture. This position will report directly to the Bakery Operations Manager.
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience and 2 years of food service experience. Pennsylvania food safety certification within 90 days of employment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Hands-on involvement with daily operations.
2. Coordinate the daily preparation of food needed to fulfill guest orders.
3. Assist with ordering, hiring, scheduling and training.
4. Effectively manage staff hours to control labor costs in conjunction with budget goals.
5. Supervise quality control in the following areas:
Proper food holding temperatures
Proper food dating and rotation
Proper food serving temperatures
Portion control according to standards
Food presentation according to standards
Fulfillment of orders within time standards
6. Assist with maintaining cleanliness of the café and seating areas.
7. Assist with written evaluations for staff.
8. Assist with insight and strategies to increase revenue and guest satisfaction.
9. Hold staff accountable by working alongside and leading by example.
10. Assist with various events throughout the year.
