In January 2023, one of the YMCA of the Roses’ greatest supporters and champions, Scott Kimmel, passed away unexpectedly before his time. In addition to volunteering his time and energy for countless great causes, Scott was a former board member of Lancaster’s YMCA and key organizer for the Lancaster YMCA’s annual golf outing. Annually, in Scott’s memory, this event brings together passionate and generous friends of the Y for an afternoon of golf, drinks, food, and fellowship. The Scott Kimmel Golf Outing raises funds to assist our mission work. This includes (but is not limited to) to the following programs: Membership for All - We provide financial assistance up to 50% off to individuals and families to ensure everyone has the opportunity to benefit from our programming, regardless of income. Safety Around Water - Knowing how to swim is a right, not a privilege. This is why we have programs for swimmers of all abilities, ranging from infants to competitive athletes to older adults. We also offer financial assistance so that everyone has a chance to learn how to swim and stay safe around water. High School and College Prep Programs - Our team works with our community’s young adults so that they enter high school, college, or the workforce ready to succeed! Between help with applications, SAT prep, career training, summer learning, and personal tutoring, there’s something for everyone! Chronic Disease Management - Living life to the fullest while combating a chronic disease takes a village, which is why we have programs to help individuals facing a variety of chronic diseases. We have free and low-cost programs for individuals with or recovering from cancer, diabetes, Parkinson’s Disease, and more! Looking for sponsorships and foursome registrations. Questions?
