Dr. Christopher Shih has a dual career as a full-time physician and active concert pianist. Hailed by the New York Times as “an intelligent and thoughtful musician,” he has performed in major venues worldwide and soloed with numerous orchestras. A board-certified gastroenterologist in Lancaster, Pa., Shih earned degrees from Harvard University and The Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. He is active in community and charitable services in both music and medicine.

Acclaimed for bringing Latin American music to equal standing alongside the Classical and Romantic canon, the Dalí Quartet reaches audiences across the U.S., Canada and South America. Named Chamber Music America’s 2024 Ensemble of the Year, the Dalí Quartet’s latest album is “Voces Latinas.” Trained by world-renowned artists, members of the Philadelphia-based quartet are from Venezuela, Puerto Rico and the U.S., and have degrees from esteemed institutions.
