What to Expect!

In the first Catalyst: Nonprofit/CBO Roundtable session of the year, we will discuss defining (or refining) and leveraging the "employee experience" to retain people who are committed to the work you do and service you provide. Together, we will explore why people are attracted to your organization as well as the critical importance of orientation and onboarding once they join. Further, you will walk away with an understanding of why employees choose to stay (even when they have other options) and strategies for how you can effectively articulate your unique "brand" and mission to attract and keep your most valuable assets, your people.

Meet the Speakers!

Catherine Weaver, SCORE Lancaster Lebanon

I am retired from a career in human resource management and leadership development.  Working in a variety of industries has broadened my experience and expertise in managing the human elements and challenges in business.  As an internal consultant, I coached and guided organizational leaders at all levels towards performance improvement, leadership effectiveness, and talent development.  Over the course of my 40-year career, I’ve been responsible for or supported talent acquisition activities including recruiting, onboarding, and job skill training in muti-media, healthcare, manufacturing, retail, and distribution environments.  Further, I spent six years working in a not-for-profit organization and served for nine years on a non-profit board.

Although retired, I continue to adjunct with two local colleges in both undergraduate and MBA programs.  This keeps me engaged and focused upon current organizational, management, and leadership issues, while enjoying the rewards of supporting and guiding students towards their successful degree completion.  I hold a B.A. in Performance Management & Organizational Dynamics and an M.A. in Organizational Leadership from Immaculata University.  I am also a certified leadership and talent management coach and hold various leadership development certifications.  As a SCORE mentor with the Lancaster-Lebanon chapter, I advise and support small business owners and entrepreneurs including non-profit leaders seeking to establish and grow successful businesses and organizations in our community.

In my spare time, I enjoy my active grandchildren, reading, gardening, playing the piano, and personal fitness including training for the 2024 Senior Games (in swimming).

For 12 years, Bob served as the President/CEO of Tabor Community Services, a non-profit social service provider of assistance for those struggling with housing and/or financial challenges. Today, Tabor is known as Tenfold.
