This interactive keynote will show you why it's so important to stop communicating with your team using endless spreadsheets and charts. Instead, you'll learn how to connect with them as real people. When leaders focus on data, their teams often feel stressed, unheard, or annoyed. No amount of logical information will motivate people who feel misunderstood. Good leaders pay attention to how their people are actually feeling and share honest stories from their own experiences to build trust and understanding. Through interactive exercises and a simple storytelling framework, Dawn teaches practical ways to use personal storytelling to make your leadership more human and get people actually excited about what you're asking them to do.

Dawn Ziegerer, founder of The Great Story Workshop

Dawn Ziegerer is the founder of The Great Story Workshop, a State College, PA-based company that helps people become better communicators using the power of storytelling. As a facilitator at The Ariel Group, she helps apprehensive speakers become confident leaders through communication training programs for organizations including Harvard Executive Education, P&G, and Northrop Grumman. Her unique background combines the energy of being an on-air personality in country radio with academic experience teaching at Penn State. With an M.A. in Advertising/Mass Communications and a love for bringing people together, Dawn thrives on witnessing the moment when someone discovers their power to communicate with confidence and authenticity.
