Champion the business community as we shape our collective vision for Lancaster County!

This year’s State of the County, hosted by the Lancaster Chamber, will center on preservation, growth, and planning in Lancaster County. The primary goal is to spotlight the collaborative efforts of the County, City, and Municipalities in preserving heritage and fostering growth. Emphasizing cooperation across Lancaster County, the event aims to showcase community initiatives and strategies, especially in areas relevant to the business community – like transportation, infrastructure, workforce, housing, smart growth, and comprehensive planning.

Joining us at State of the County:

  • Josh Parsons, County Commissioner
  • Ray D’Agostino, County Commissioner
  • Alice Yoder, County Commissioner
  • Danene Sorace, Mayor, City of Lancaster

You’ll hear from County-wide elected officials about how does Lancaster County compare to statewide data and trends like land use, workforce, and housing as well as the strategic planning methods our County uses to approach growth. They'll highlight also highlight infrastructure and transportation, the prison project and the focus on economic mobility.  


then, we'll highlight three, multi-municipality comprehensive plans across Lancaster County:

Southern Lancaster County Comprehensive Plan: Keep Southern Lancaster County Rural
