Meet our Panelists!

Francisco “Frisco” Gómez de la Torre is the founder and owner of Frisco’s Chicken, a Lancaster-based restaurant specializing in authentic Peruvian charcoal-roasted chicken. Originally from Arequipa, Peru, Francisco came to the U.S. at 30 with two suitcases, $300, and a dream of building a better future for his family. After losing his hospitality job during the COVID-19 pandemic, he turned his longtime dream into reality, opening Frisco’s Chicken in 2020 and building a business rooted in family, perseverance, Peruvian heritage, and community.

Esther Aurora DeWoody is the Founder and President of the Lancaster Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, a nonprofit chamber serving Lancaster County. She leads the Chamber’s work to connect businesses and entrepreneurs through networking, education, collaboration, and community engagement. Esther is focused on increasing business visibility, strengthening partnerships, and helping Lancaster’s Hispanic business community thrive.

Jose R. Lopez serves as President of SACA and SACA Development, bringing extensive experience in corporate management, real estate development, valuation, and community leadership. A Lancaster native, Jose grew up in the city’s southeast neighborhood and credits SACA with providing his family with important resources when they first settled in Lancaster. As the first in his family to attend college, he later served on the SACA Development Board and as its President and CEO before building a career in financial and real estate services. Jose is passionate about community development and returned to Lancaster to use his experience to support SACA’s mission and the community he calls home.

Eliel Garcia is the Store Manager of Hamilton’s flagship location in downtown Lancaster, the company’s only boutique in the Americas. Originally from the cruise industry, Eliel arrived in the United States in 2010 and built a new career while navigating the challenges of English being his second language. Through determination and hard work, he advanced into leadership and has built his career around developing teams, creating strong customer experiences, and connecting with people. A strong believer in community involvement, Eliel is a graduate of Leadership Lancaster and serves on the boards of the Boys & Girls Club of Lancaster and the National Watch & Clock Museum. Through his professional and community work, he has built connections with leaders across Lancaster County’s private, public, and nonprofit sectors.

Nicole Beltran
Emcee
Nicole Beltran is a University of Florida graduate with degrees in Journalism and Economics and joins WGAL News 8 with a passion for storytelling and learning. Originally from Florida, Nicole previously interned with WGAL’s sister station, WPBF 25 News, and speaks Spanish and Portuguese. She is proud of her Colombian heritage and looks forward to learning more about Pennsylvania, experiencing its seasons, and sharing stories from the local community.
