What to Expect!

Dawn Kirchner-King, Senior Vice President of Human Resources, Salena Coachman, Vice President, Talent Sustainability and Talent Acquisition, D&I, and Tony Campbell, HRIS and Talent Analytics Manager, Armstrong World Industries will share an overview of how Armstrong is evaluating and incorporating AI into different functions across its operations. Following the overview, Salena and Tony will facilitate discussion with attendees on how to best understand, adapt, and maximize AI without compromising core tents of the human experience and company culture. Attendees will also share ethical and practical considerations in their own use of AI for their companies, along with barriers, challenges, and opportunities in their industry. 

Meet the Facilitators

Dawn-Kirchner King, Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer - Armstrong World Industries

Dawn-Kirchner King rejoined Armstrong World Industries in 2024 when she was named senior vice president and Chief Human Resources Officer. Prior to rejoining Armstrong, Dawn was the senior vice president and chief information officer at Carlisle Construction Materials. In her earlier tenure at AWI from 2015 to 2023, she served as the director of IT operations and most recently as senior vice president and chief information officer and was responsible for technology, cybersecurity, digital optimization and construction technology partnerships. Dawn brings to Armstrong a demonstrated passion for people and team building. 

Before joining Armstrong in 2015, Dawn was a managing director at Hartman Executive Advisors, providing strategic advisory and process improvement services to global businesses. Dawn has also held technology and marketing leadership roles at Glatfelter Paper, Donegal Insurance, PAS and Glatfelter Insurance. 

Dawn attended The Pennsylvania State University and earned an Executive MBA from Temple University’s Fox School of Business. Dawn also is a member of the board of directors of Girl Scouts in the Heart of Pennsylvania. 

 

Salena Coachman, VP, Talent Sustainability & Acquisition - Armstrong World Industries

Salena is a thought and change leader with a focus in People, Belonging and Inclusion. She is a public speaker and communicator with expertise in corporate social responsibility, employee relations and engagement, talent identification and people-bridging.

Her work increases opportunities for a diverse workforce.

Tony Campbell, Manager, Talent Analytics & HRIS - Armstrong World Industries

Tony is a highly skilled HR leader with an expertise in systems, data, and process development. He combines his knowledge of various HR disciplines with his IT experience to create user-focused HR processes and systems that are both efficient and effective.
