What to Expect!
The session will feature insightful reflections from Kitchen Kettle Village's leadership team on succession planning within the context of the KKV family business. Led by Michelle Rondinelli, Co-Owner and President of Kitchen Kettle Foods, Inc., and featuring Heidi Gable, Human Resources Director, Laura Robbins, Director of Training and IT Coordinator, Chris Dydo, Operations Coach, and Ty Sheaffer, Recruiting and Retention Coordinator, this HR Roundtable will highlight Kitchen Kettle Village's commitment to fostering a supportive team culture through innovative training programs, leadership development, and comprehensive HR strategies. Attendees will engage in lively discussions and exercises aimed at aligning employee journeys with company values, ensuring a dynamic session for HR professionals focused on organizational growth and development.
Meet the Speakers!
Michelle Rondinelli, Co-Owner & President, Kitchen Kettle Foods, Inc.
Michelle Rondinelli is a co-owner and President of Kitchen Kettle Foods, Inc. She is a graduate of York College of PA with a degree in Business Management and a double minor in Marketing and Human Resource Management.
Michelle served on the Board of Directors for the PA Dutch Convention and Visitors Bureau (now Discover Lancaster) from 2004-2012 and was Chairman of the Board in 2009 and Past Chair in 2010. She is also a member of the Young President’s Organization (YPO) since 2009, served on the American Cancer Society’s Legacy Ball from 2011-2015 and co-chaired the event in 2012.
Michelle started her service with the Lancaster Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors in 2011. She joined the executive committee in 2017 served as Board Chair in 2020 and completed her service as Past Chair in 2021. She was a mentor in the Chamber’s Women in Business Mentoring Program and currently serves as a mentor for the First Choice Discovery Mentoring Program that is a partnership between the Lancaster Chamber and the Pequea Valley School District.
Michelle served on the Superintendent’s Lay Advisory Council for Manheim Township School District from 2018-2021. She joined the Board of Directors for the Economic Development Company in 2018 and has served on the Executive Committee since 2022 and is currently the Vice Chair of the Board. She also serves on the Regional Advisory Board for Truist Bank. She was the winner of the “40 Under 40 Award” from the Central Penn Business Journal in 2011 and was the 2024 recipient of the Athena Award from the Lancaster Chamber.
Michelle and her husband Joe have four children, Sophia (12), Mason (11), Mira (11) and Olivia (11) and reside in Lancaster.
Heidi Gable, Human Resources Director, Kitchen Kettle Village
Heidi Gable is the Human Resources Director at Kitchen Kettle Village since 2012. She is dedicated to developing and implementing HR strategies and initiatives aligned with overall business goals. Her focus areas include employee relations, compensation and benefits, payroll administration, HR analytics, diversity and inclusion, and HR technology. Heidi is passionate about promoting a culture of respect and equality within the organization and provides consulting to leadership for employee coaching and development. She also ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and develops company policies.
Heidi holds Associate degrees in Business and Hospitality Management from Penn State Berks. She has also attained her employment law paralegal certification, Professional Human Resources Certification, and Senior Professional Human Resources Certification. Outside of work, she is active in the Lancaster Society of Human Resources, serves as an LCBC Church Life Group leader, participates in various community activities, and enjoys spending time with her family and two Cavalier puppies.
Chris Dydo, Operations Coach, Kitchen Kettle Village
Chris Dydo is the Operations Coach at Kitchen Kettle Village. He has over 35 years of experience in coaching and developing healthy and successful retail and hospitality teams. His expertise lies in collaboration and aligning team performance with company strategy and culture, resulting in enhanced operational efficiency and guest happiness!
In addition to his Kitchen Kettle role, Chris shares his passion for personal development and mentoring by serving as a volunteer with the First Choice Discovery program at Pequea Valley High School as well as the Pequea Valley Workforce Development steering committee. Chris also provides support to the Good Samaritan Services and Area Social Services of Ephrata.
Laura Robbins, Director of Training and IT Coordinator, Kitchen Kettle Village
Laura Robbins is the Director of Training and IT Coordinator at Kitchen Kettle Village. She is dedicated to team member development and enhancing the company’s operational and technological frameworks. Laura designs and delivers comprehensive training programs on various topics, helping to align processes with the core values of Kitchen Kettle. Her efforts ensure that the team and technology work harmoniously to achieve the company’s goals.
Outside of her role at Kitchen Kettle, Laura is an active member of the Pennsylvania Restaurant & Lodging Association. She contributes her expertise to the Education Planning Committee and the Educational Foundation Committee. Laura is also passionate about mentoring; she volunteers with the First Choice Discovery Program at Pequea Valley High School, and for the past six years, she has served as a mentor with the Lancaster Chamber's Discovering Paths program, guiding and inspiring high school students to reach their full potential.
Ty Sheaffer, Recruiting and Retention Coordinator, Kitchen Kettle Village
Following a career spanning over a decade in bar and restaurant management, Ty Joined Kitchen Kettle Village in August 2022 where he managed two retail stores. With a proven record for efficiency and delivery on goals at Kitchen Kettle Village, Ty was entrusted with the task of spearheading the company’s talent acquisition, staff professional development, and retention strategy, as the Recruiting and Retention Coordinator.
