Central Regional Meeting @ Franklin & Marshall College
Wednesday, August 5, 2026 (8:00 AM - 9:30 AM) (EDT)
Description

Libraries today are far more than places to borrow books. Across Lancaster County, they serve as hubs for lifelong learning, workforce development, digital access, career exploration, and community engagement, providing resources that support both individuals and employers.
Join the Lancaster Chamber for this Central Regional Meeting as we explore the evolving role libraries play in strengthening Lancaster County's workforce and economy. Attendees will gain insight into how libraries are helping residents build skills, access technology, pursue educational opportunities, and navigate career transitions, while also supporting broader community and economic development goals.
The discussion will highlight the connections between workforce readiness, talent development, digital literacy, and lifelong learning, offering a fresh perspective on how community institutions contribute to Lancaster County's long-term success.
Whether you're an employer, educator, nonprofit leader, or community stakeholder, this conversation will provide valuable insight into the resources and partnerships helping to shape Lancaster County's future workforce.
Speakers Include:
Jon Heinly, Director of Donor Advising at the Lancaster Public Library
