Description:
Each year, we host regional consortiums to hear updates from Lancaster County’s school districts and higher education institutions as a way to connect businesses with the stewards of tomorrow’s workforce. Join us to learn more about the strategies local schools and colleges are using to prepare the next generation of students for success in the workforce and in our community!
At the Central Consortium, you’ll hear about:
Thaddeus Steven’s strategy for 2-year education/skills attainment that prepares students for skilled employment in Lancaster County based, in-demand jobs
Franklin and Marshall’s unique degree offerings, experiential learning opportunities, and community engagement that inspires students to have a love of Lancaster
School District of Lancaster’s plan for making career exploration and college credit attainment accessible for all the high school students
As Pennsylvania’s population decreases, it has never been more imperative to attract and retain skilled talent in our workforce. Lancaster County is home to 17 school districts and 8 higher education institutions, all of whom are working hard to educate young people and inspire them to establish careers in our community. Sharing your input as business leaders is crucial as we strengthen the local workforce pipeline and ensure the next generation is prepared with the skills and education they need to be ready for today’s jobs!
