Ag Issues Forum: Growing Agriculture's Next Generation
Friday, September 25, 2026 (8:00 AM - 9:30 AM) (EDT)
Description
Join the Lancaster Chamber for an Ag Issues Forum exploring how FFA and agricultural education are preparing the next generation of agricultural leaders and strengthening Pennsylvania's workforce pipeline.
Agriculture remains one of Lancaster County's most important industries, making it essential to invest in the students and programs that will shape its future. This forum will bring together Pennsylvania FFA leadership, local agricultural educators, and an FFA student leader to discuss how agricultural education is developing leadership skills, technical expertise, and career readiness while helping meet the workforce needs of Pennsylvania's agricultural economy.
Attendees will gain insight into the opportunities available through FFA and agricultural education, hear firsthand experiences from student and educator perspectives, and explore how partnerships between schools, employers, and the agricultural community can help ensure a strong and sustainable future for the industry.
Whether you're an agricultural producer, agribusiness leader, educator, policymaker, or community stakeholder, this discussion will provide valuable perspectives on preparing the next generation of Pennsylvania's agricultural workforce.
Attendees will also enjoy fresh apple cider, generously provided by Kauffman Orchards, as we celebrate Lancaster County agriculture and the start of the fall season.
The program will feature insights and discussion from:
Crystal Bomgardner, Assistant Executive Director for the Pennsylvania FFA

Nate Huber, State Vice President of the Pennsylvania FFA
