Telling Your Story for a Campaign with the Lancaster County Community Foundation

A compelling story can be the difference between a campaign that resonates and one that gets overlooked. In partnership with the Lancaster County Community Foundation, this Nonprofit Roundtable will explore how organizations can craft and communicate meaningful, mission-driven stories that inspire action and drive engagement during fundraising campaigns.

With a focus on initiatives like the ExtraGive, this session will provide practical insight into connecting with donors, clearly communicating impact, and standing out in a crowded giving environment. Through a facilitated discussion, participants will share strategies, challenges, and real-world examples to help strengthen their messaging and elevate their campaign efforts.

Valentina Schade, Communications Manager, Lancaster County Community Foundation

Valentina has been leading communications and content management for local and international nonprofits for more than a decade. She loves making complex ideas clear and easy to understand, so that everyone feels invited and inspired to create positive change in their own community. 


Caroline Ulrich, Communications Associate, Lancaster County Community Foundation

Caroline is a Lancaster native and proud graduate of Franklin & Marshall College, where she earned a joint degree in Government and Film & Media Studies. Her background spans communications, digital marketing, higher education storytelling, social media strategy, photography, videography, and content creation, with experience across both nonprofit and educational organizations. Passionate about visual storytelling, Caroline loves capturing meaningful moments behind the camera and finding creative ways to connect communities through media.

From grant writing to volunteer management, governance to leadership development, Nonprofit/CBO Roundtable offers the strategies, resources, and insight you need for your community benefit organization (CBO) to succeed. Partnering with the Lancaster County Community Foundation (LCCF), each session will provide a deeper dive on critical topics influencing your efforts to serve as a catalyst for change in Lancaster County. Collaborate with other nonprofit professionals and share your own experiences to take your organization to the next level!
