What to Expect!

In this presentation, Emily Hess will share her unique journey of moving from the healthcare sector to her current role as a Marketing Manager at Two Dudes Painting Company. She'll stress the importance of aligning our personal values with our professional path, focusing on a critical point in her career when she decided to leave healthcare due to a disconnect in ethical values. 

In the first breakout session, Emily will guide you all to create your own personal code of ethics. Moving forward, she will share my experience in disability advocacy and underline the critical role of employer support in creating an inclusive and supportive workplace. Emily will also share the fear and challenge she faced when revealing my disability status to my employers and the ripple effect of a LinkedIn post on this subject. This will include a recounting of the far-reaching consequences of a viral post, leading to a consequential meeting with 3M executives. 

In the second breakout session, we will brainstorm on how even small changes can significantly impact accessibility and inclusion within your organizations. As we conclude, Emily will highlight the importance of intertwining personal and company values, drawing from my experiences at Two Dudes. Lastly, we'll conclude with a Q&A session, where Emily is excited to answer your questions and engage in deeper discussions.

Emily Hess, Two Dudes Painting Co.

Emily Hess, a Lancaster County native, blends artistic creativity and over a decade of marketing experience in her role as Marketing Manager at Two Dudes Painting Company. Her unique history in the arts, from days as a child actor to exploring the timeless art of oil painting, has cultivated a lifelong affinity for creative expression. 

Today, Emily brings this passion to the forefront of her career, leveraging her deep expertise in marketing and technology integration to generate strategies that deliver. As a loving mother and devoted wife, Emily treasures her family life in Wernersville, PA. Her journey with severe lupus has shaped her into a spirited disability rights advocate, working towards a world that celebrates accessibility and inclusion. Through her active participation in community projects, Emily's influence fosters positive change and advocates for inclusivity.

Fun Fact: I was once described as a “Force of Nature” after a job interview (yes, it was at Two Dudes)
